Step 01
Check your requirements
Use our requirements simulator for a preliminary indication of whether one or more Korean domestic-representative regimes may apply to your company.
The simulator is not a legal determination. It is designed to help you identify the potentially relevant service before contacting us. You may also contact Korea Agent Direct directly without completing the simulator.
Step 02
We review your situation
We review what your company does in South Korea, which legal entity provides the relevant product or service, whether the company has a Korean address or place of business, and whether the applicable legal thresholds appear to be met.
We may ask for additional information about your business model, Korean users or customers, revenue, personal-information processing, game activity, AI services, corporate ownership or existing Korean operations.
Where clarification from a Korean authority may be useful, Korea Agent Direct can contact the relevant regulator on your behalf with your prior approval. Regulator communication does not necessarily result in a formal or legally binding interpretation.
Step 03
We agree on the service
We explain which representative service appears relevant, whether Korea Agent Direct is eligible and able to accept the appointment, and whether a Korean affiliate must be appointed instead.
Our proposal describes what Korea Agent Direct will handle, what remains your company’s responsibility, the required documents, the service fee and the expected setup process.
An inquiry, simulator result or preliminary discussion does not create an appointment. The service begins only after the scope is agreed and the required agreements are signed.
Step 04
We complete the appointment
We complete the service agreement and the written appointment documents, confirm the authorized contacts on both sides and establish the communication and approval procedure.
Where required by the applicable law, Korea Agent Direct communicates with the relevant regulator and submits the official appointment or designation documents, including the nomination letter, prescribed notice or other required filing.
We also coordinate any required publication or disclosure of the representative’s name and contact details, such as in a privacy policy, terms and conditions, website or other prescribed location.
Step 05
We operate the service
After activation, Korea Agent Direct receives and coordinates the communications and procedures covered by the appointment. We notify your designated team when action is required, track agreed deadlines and maintain the relevant communication and submission records.
Your company continues to make the underlying legal, technical, commercial, privacy, safety, customer-remedy and operational decisions. Korea Agent Direct acts only within the statutory and contractual scope of the appointment.
We also coordinate agreed updates when contact details, business activities, corporate structure or the appointment status changes, including renewal, replacement or termination where required.
